Charlie is an adorable Jack Russell Terrier x. If you are looking for a dog who will shower you with love and adoration then Charlie is for you. Expect to have kisses showered on you when sit down – he’ll be in your lap in a flash smothering you. Wherever you are in the house or outside Charlie will be with you – either cuddling up next to you or a few feet away. He also loves the comfort of snuggling under his blanket in his bed – you won’t even see him under the blanket as he curls himself into a tiny ball under it.
Charlie is extremely friendly and will be a perfect family dog. He is good with younger kids but does prefers older kids and teenagers as they’re not as rough as a three year old can be. When you arrive home he will greet you as if he hasn’t seen you for a year. More cuddles and kisses to all members of the family. He adores his foster doggie brothers and definitely needs another little doggie friend or two for companionship. He doesn’t like being alone.
Charlie just loves going for car rides and will eagerly jump into the car and let you buckle him in. He loves the feel of the wind through his ears as you drive. He gets very excited when you bring out the lead as he enjoys going for walks and will do a little excited dance for you. He is good on lead and doesn’t pull – but does bark a bit at other approaching dogs. All he wants is to say hello to them though.
If you walk him somewhere near water then expect Charlie to want to have a splash or swim. He enjoys getting his feet wet – and loves having a splash in the stream at his foster families’ regular walking location.
Unfortunately when Charlie was rescued his teeth were not in the best condition and the vet felt it best that most needed removal. This does not stop him eating and enjoying his meals – you just need to be selective with the food & treats given to him. He is a very good boy whilst eating with his foster brothers. Once he finishes his bowl he knows that’s it and doesn’t try to bug his brothers for their food.
