Othello (Ollie)

Othello (Ollie) came into our care in 2013 so he is one of our longer term residents at our Shelter. He's is a very friendly boy and is always the first to greet you with his love of people. He's a very outgoing and confident cat which means he handles most situations well, be it traveling in the car or meeting new people.

Othello would suit most households as he is happy to entertain you with play, purr away as you pat him or just hang out while you work away at your computer. At times he can get a little carried away and his play can get a little rough, so would be best suited to a family without very young children.

He's currently sharing with other cats but has his favourites so the right fit is important if you already have a cat.

Ollie's care includes a urinary diet dry cat food or he can be on 'wet food' (canned) to keep him healthy.

Adoption Details: Interested in meeting or adopting one of our animals? 1. Please complete our online application form by clicking on the APPLY NOW button. 2. Our Adoption Committee (in consultation with Foster Carer, if applicable) will assess your application against the needs of the animal you are applying for. 3. If your application is to progress to the next stage, you will be invited to a "Meet & Greet" appointment (at our Huntly North Shelter) where you will get to meet the animal you are interested in. If the meeting is a success and all parties are happy to proceed, an adoption can take place on the day or if the potential new home is local to Bendigo, we have the option to ‘trial’ first. You can also meet our cats any Saturday between 12.30pm and 2.30pm when our Adoption Cattery is open. BAWCS takes back any animal that does not work out for whatever reason. We insist that the animal must be returned to us and is not to be transferred to any other party if the adoption doesn't work out, regardless of what time has elapsed. You can adopt with confidence from BAWCS!
