Pint sized Charles is looking for a loving, fun and confident human to call his own. He loves cuddles, car rides, daily walks and Netflix sessions on the couch and sunny Sunday afternoons in the garden. He also likes his humans to be patient with him while he learns to trust and confident to let him know right from wrong.
Charles is just starting to learn the secrets of being a good boy. Before he came into rescue he was a wild child left to get away with being naughty and cheeky. As a result he was a bit anxious and can still get stressed when he is pushed too quickly. He needs to trust his humans and then he becomes open to new experiences without panicking. It's early days but he is already coming along well and is eager to learn more. His toilet training is improving daily and he is learning to walk on lead. He is great in the car and behaves nicely around the home. He can get stressed when being groomed and needs more training in this area.
Charles is friendly and social with adult humans but is not suited to a home where small children live or regularly visit. He has a touch of the little dog syndrom and can get bossy with some bigger dogs but is happy to share his space with dogs closer to his size. He would prefer to not be left home alone for very long periods and must be allowed indoors to share time with his new family.
