Marley is one of the most endearing and adorable seniors we have rescued. He loves people, loves one on one play with other dogs, loves the park, the beach, going for walks and most of all, loves his food so he is a typical goldie guzzle gutz.
A bit of arthritis, some low vision at night and selective hearing saw him turfed out of his family home and he was very disillusioned as to why he ended up at the pound. Dindi Dog Rescue stepped in and provided treatment for his arthritis that took away his pain and turned his world back in to a happy place. Marley is a bouncing senior with a new lease on life, just loving every single moment of being in a home, with his foster family and being a pack member.
Marley will need to continue with his injections once a month that the foster mum can show you how to do for the next few months, apart from this his remaining medical is all clear. He does need a night light left on to help him in the dark. Marley travels very well in his harness in the car, just sleeps away the journey. He is house trained and it is suggested that he has a double dog bed to sleep on due to his arthritis. Marley is happy to be indoors with you and happy to snooze on the sofa under a pergola, just as long as he has a comfy bed, he can snooze anywhere.
Feeding Marley large kibble is best so he has to stop and chew it, he is a bit of a guzzler. Marley will play and do zoomies with one doggie friend but if there are too many doggie friends, he does turn into the fun police and has a bark. He loves soft toys and soft squeaky balls.
Marley would be perfect for a family with older children who will not get bowled over by his enthusiastic running. Another senior dog with a bit of energy would be great for him to have play time with. He is a great companion, loves to have cuddle and would be a great addition to any family.
