Introducing Mr George Pinkerton, Gentleman Explorer
Having spent the first year of his life exploring the wilds of Como, Mr Pinkerton is ready to spend his time exploring the world of the spoiled house kitty.
After discovering that the large creatures known as ‘Hoomans’ do not mean him harm in any way, Mr Pinkerton has given over to the joy that is head scratches and lap snuggles, often showing his appreciation with motor-like purring and head butting the humans in the face.
There is also a never-ending parade of mouse toys that need to be subdued as one can never tell when they will rise and threaten the peaceful country of Ho’me. These mice must be thrown across the room and chased after and then flung again to make sure they are properly cowed.
Other possible interlopers to the Ho’me are the Outside Birds. They are constantly outside, doing outside things and therefore, they must be watched for signs that they are planning on trying to enter the borders of Ho’me. Sometimes they are crafty and sit in trees. Mr Pinkerton is onto their tricks and keeps them well in sight.
He has been moderately successful in introducing himself to the resident cats, but as a much younger cat, his energetic salutations are often rebuffed. Mr Pinkerton lives in hope that one day they will wrestle with him as he wishes.
Still a bit wary and skittish of the big Hoomans, he much prefers to smooch and snuggle them on his own terms. He hasn’t yet met any of the smaller Hoomans and thinks they might be a bit fragile for his energetic ways.
