1109 - Ellie

Hi! Nice to meet you! My name is Ellie, and I’m looking for a place that I can call home forever. I was found with my sisters living on a rural property with our mum. Since then, we have been in care with the angels. I haven’t met many humans before, so I was super scared at first. Luckily, I have a very patient foster mum, and every day I’m learning that humans are sooooo nice!

I might hiss a little at first, but it’s because I’m so scared. I promise I mean no harm by it. With a little bit of patience and love, I will grow in confidence and we can be best friends for life. When I’m feeling confident, I do love to play! I love my treats! I’ve been eating them right out of my foster mum hands. At night I’ve been sneaking up on my foster mums bed after I think she’s fallen asleep! But let’s just keep that between us…

I love playing with the other kitties in my foster home, so a home with other kitties would be great! You could even adopt me with one of my siblings, that’d be sooo much fun! If you do already have kitties in your home, they will have to be over 18 months old! (See medical notes below). They can show me the ropes which would help my confidence a lot.

I’m not quite sure a home with little kids would be good for me right now, as I’m still quite scared, but doggos should be ok as long as we have a slow introduction!

If I sound like the kitty for you, please come and meet me! I will melt your heart with my cuteness!

Medical Notes: Ellie has been exposed to the feline corona virus which is a common virus that cats are exposed to. Cats that contract corona virus are generally asymptomatic or have mild diarrhoea. There is a small chance that corona can mutate into feline infectious peritonitis (FIP), which is a fatal feline disease. Risk can be reduced by making sure your cat has regular health checks and vaccinations, high quality nutrition, keeping cat numbers in the house low, and attempting to keep the environment as stress free as possible. Ellie was also exposed to Calicivirus, which is a respiratory infection. She did not show symptoms and was given the all clear by the vet.
