Young Gus is raring to go and ready for direction. He is looking for a home with active, outdoorsy type humans who are keen to continue his training. Due to an injury in his previous home he has had significant surgery which has left him unable to put full weight on his rear right leg. He has been enjoying his structured swimming rehabilitation for this and doesn't let the disability slow him down.
Gus is super smart, eager to please, ready for adventure and longing for humans to devote himself to. He is learning manners in his foster home and has some great skills down already. He travels well in the car, walks well on lead and doesn't jump up. His recallis improving and he toilet and crate trained. His manners around other dogs is improving daily and he loves to play with other fun and active dogs. He doesn't have a mean bone in his body but would prefer his humans to understand his breed so they know what he needs to be happy.
Gus needs plenty of exercise and mental stimulation. He loves a daily walk and has been enjoying structured swimming sessions. He likes being around other dogs but often rounds them up too so any doggy companion would need to be tolerant of his cheeky way. He is not suited to a home with young children, cats or pocket pets.
