Nev

Hello hoomans,

It’s Neville here but you can call me Nev. I also answer to Nevarooni, Nevarino, Nev Nev and Nevalicious. Anyway, I’m a handsome old man looking for a family to spend my golden years with.

I was recently dumped at a rural pound and left there in a confused state - why didn't my family want me anymore? Safe Haven Animal Rescue Inc swooped in and pulled me from the pound and gave me a second chance. Since then, I have been spending time being loved on by my foster family.

My foster Ma and Pa don’t know much about my past or why I was dumped at the pound but it’s clear that I was loved and well looked after. How do they know this? Because I am the best behaved boy ever and am well trained. I may be 50kg but I am a gentle giant - I walk well on the lead, I come when called, I sit on command, I take treats ever so gently, I fetch the ball and bring it back to you, I love car rides, swimming in the creek and enjoy short walks. I may be 12 or 13 years old but I am in excellent health and can do all the things a young pup can do.

What am I looking for in a new family? I’m an old guy and am so grateful for creature comforts so a family who lets me inside and allows me to snuggle on the lounge would be amazing. I love people. I enjoy nothing more than lying by foster Ma while she works and I love to curl up on the lounge next to foster pa (with my head on his lap). If my new parents were homebodies, I wouldn’t be upset at all. I don’t always like to stay at home though - I enjoy a 20 minute stroll each day to stretch my legs and sniff the neighbourhood. I am super well behaved so wouldn't mind heading out to a cafe with my hoomans every now and then for breakfast and even going on holidays too. I am in foster care with two lovely lady dogs but we don't really interact much. I am an independent guy and like doing my own thing (mostly sleeping) so its not necessary for me to have a fur friend in my new home but if there is a friend it would be good if they are calm and well mannered. Being the old man that I am, I'm not keen on active and dogs that jump around a lot or annoy me. I haven't been tested with children but given my size, I will most likely be better with children over 10.

Lastly, my foster Ma says pictures don't do me justice. She says I am much more handsome in person and I win everyone over with my beautiful nature. With that in mind, I look forward to meeting you all soon when you put in your application .
