1297 - Beetle

Beetle has sad little eyes that once she gets to know you light up when she sees you. She is still very shy with new people but loves to snuggle with her Foster Mum and follow her around the house. She is a special little girl that doesn't grow as quickly as other kittens.

Companions (Children, Cats & Dogs)
Beetle currently lives in a multi cat house hold and is best friends with another foster called Mali. Beetle lives with two big floofy dogs and likes to snuggle up to them. Beetle hasn't yet met any children.

Likes / Dislikes
Beetle loves to play and is a huge fan of cat toys. She is very energetic and loves doing zoomies around the house. Beetle would be best suited to a home with a friendly cat and no small children.

Medical Notes: Our vet advises Beetle likely underwent a liver insult resulting in high liver enzyme blood test results, and needs some help to return to a healthy liver. Her liver function test came back as normal, suggesting returning to a healthy liver is very likely to happen. Beetle needs to take one tablet a day of a detoxification medication, and then have repeat blood tests. PRA will cover the cost of this medication and the repeat blood test. Beetle also has Gingivitis, which is inflammation of the gums. Beetle does not have her adult teeth yet but we expect when they are through some will need to be removed. PRA will cover the cost of Beetle's dental needs for the next 6 months, this will include treatment of steroids and/or antibiotics if required, and a dental with extractions when her adult teeth are through if required. After this 6 month period any further dental treatment will be at the cost of the adopter. This condition may require treatment on and off throughout her life. She will need her teeth checked at her annual vaccination. She may need treatment in between these times (of steroids and/or antibiotics) if the condition worsens, and may need further teeth extracted in the future. All of Beetle's treatment covered by PRA will need to occur at Best Friends' Family Vet in Byford, with PRA admin arranging the appointments.
